Monday, Monday.

Been years since I started one of these threads, but here goes.  Newbies, we usually fill each other in on our week's anticipated goings-on, medical or just life in general.

For me, I'll be on my way back to Cleveland Clinic in an hour or so, to see spine specialist and neuro-ophthalmologist.  My expectations aren't particularly high this time.  I see the MS neuro (Dr. Doogie, a real MS specialist) on November 6th, but mostly his nurse, for a progress check.

It's back to the grind, for me.  Lots of work, and for a per diem type, this is a good thing!

Have a good week, everybody!

I have a sore throat & cough so I'm just taking it easy. I actually have not one thing in my diary this week so YAY!!!!

Kyle, good luck with the Rituxan / Rituximab on Friday. The protocol for anyone having it is to have paracetamol & antihistamine prior as well as Methylprednisolone / Sulomedrol prior. I love this drug as it has been the only thing to help me. I noticed some improvement after a month but a huge improvement after the next round at 6 months & it just got better & better from there.

I really hope it has good results for you as well. I know you probably know the premed protocol but my first dose they forgot to give it to me & human error can happen in life but didn't want you to have to go through the same.

Good luck with your appt. Pastor Dan.

Everyone else have a great week. Karry.

Looks like a boring week here, tomorrow I will go with my wife to her dental appointment, Wednesday a 90 supply of Copaxone will arrive, so that means going no where do anything until it arrives.  Nothing else happening the rest of the week.

Well my plans for the week have changed in the last 6 hours. Got a call from my brother telling me he won't be able to make it out here before my trip up to ME. He has a disability C&P appointment for Next Monday which is when I need to be up in ME. So this will be another solo trip for me at the end of the week. I was so looking forward to having a relief driver on this trip.

I started the morning driving to the MS Clinic to pick up a new investigational drug - an extended release for of baclofen. I'm in their small study group and getting started has taken more time than I had guessed it would.   Then I went to work for a few hours and left to go to the dentist, where I had a *surprise!* root canal.  I hope that quiets some of the mouth pain but we think there is some involvement in the molars, too.  :-(

Friday I have PT in the morning - in between all of this I have no other medical things and hope to have some quiet time.

good luck to all the rest of you looking for answers, Laura

Good luck with your appointment Dan.  Hopefully you get some answers.

I'm starting a new job tomorrow which should be a lot less stressful than my previous job.  Same type of work just a smaller and more personable company.  No more wasting my time on useless corporate "stuff" :) and better pay.  Win-win situation.

My week is quiet on the medical front.

I leave tomorrow afternoon for a conference in DC for 3 days . My schedule Thursday is non-stop meetings from 9:00am through dinner. Luckily, Friday is quiet (at least for now) so I should be able to recharge.

Have a good week, All.

Dan - I hope all goes well for you with your visits! Thanks for starting the thread!

I have an uneventful week medically. I am excited about making my 5th Locks of Love Donation this weekend and losing 10 inches of hair in a day. I grew it out for Hawaii and its now time for a change! Football homecoming is this weekend, looking forward to that as well.

I wish you all the best!

First off Thanks Ess, I learned a new word today "outlier", or at least for the moment. LOL

My week will consist of more housework to get ready for my brother to visit. So far today I haven't crashed from doing some of that work, but I am limiting how long I work at one time by 50%. Later in the week is my trip back up to ME with my brother. We are planning a stop at his daughter's home on the way up. I have not seen her since my Mom died several years ago, so that should be nice.

PD, I love the idea of Dr. Doogie. My sister named one of mine that, but that was before he totally screwed up my right foot, which had been only partially screwed up before that. I had to have more surgery, this time by a 'real' doctor, followed by wheelchair, walker, PT, for several months. Boo. I gave Doogie the bum's rush at that point.

Very dull week coming up for me, all to the good. I'm still doing my best at the gym, and now teenie weenie arm muscles are beginning to show, hardly definable from the blub around them, but it's a start. Most women do have relatively little upper body strength, and I'm an outlier even in that.

Just wait---this time next year I'll be all oiled up and in one of those female body builder contests. NOT!

Tomorrow it's off to my PCP for annual, mundane physical.

Friday is Rituxan Day at the ballpark. My first 6 hour rituximab Funfest!
