Monday 6-10-13 weekly roundup

Time for the weekly roundup of what is happening this week.

I had my PTSD appointment today and nothing else scheduled for the week. First time in 3 weeks for that to happen. Maybe I'll get to rest up some now. :)

Busiest week of my year.  No time for any medical stuff.

Once again for me a week full of doctor appts.

I'm currently on leave of absence at work & waiting for short term disability approval.  And I'm meeting with a social security attorney tomorrow.

Mon - met with the NP of my oncologist for carcinoid syndrome & she said she'd sign off on any disability paperwork for me (my oncologist is out on FMLA). Plus, she thinks the carcinoids may have metastisized to my breasts/axillary lymph nodes. I'm meeting with the breast specialists there on Thurs for exam & probably biopsy.

Fri I get to have a impedence study/ph probe where they put a tube up my nose and down into my esophagus for 24 hrs to measure gastric acid or something like that. They said it may be leading to my shortness of breath & vocal cord dysfunction with my systemic scleroderma.  I hope I can stand it.

For me its learning to accept RRMS and live with an unpredictable future. Only diagnosed end of May, so a bit raw.

Medically  the week is completely empty. The highlight of my week will be Saturday. It's the third service call on my less than 3 month old fancy schmancy oven/range!

I started Copaxone on Saturday, so I guess this my first week of diagnosis.  I have an appointment with a eye specialist on Friday.  Could be an interesting week.

Cann, great approach.  It's not MS until the doctor calls it.

Corriel, I like that idea of a quiet week.

Alex, the book sounds interesting.  Perhaps you can write us a book report?

Dennis, keep it up!

No doctors on the calendar, but I do have another MS dinner to attend.  Best of all, my dear former personal student trainer who graduated two years ago, is in the country this week (she's from the UK) and we are meeting for a late dinner on Thursday.  I'm so happy she contacted me to get together. This is my last week of paid work until August 16. I love having these two months off work to do more of what I would like to do instead of what I have to do.

Come on Friday - get here!!!

I am forgetting about ms this week... Other than coming here to visit each night :)
I go to neurologist on June 24.... Until then I feel good .. Eye sight great... I don't have ms until the doc says..  Right?

No this is not denial... Just want to step back... Breathe and see what truly is bothering me (symptom wise) in the grand spectrum... Focusing on food health and pure body wellness this week. :) happy thoughts:)

A nice quiet week for me. I had a doc appointment today and a quick check in on Wednesday. Fingers crossed for much needed rest. :-)

Not much with me I have my Cancer blood work tomorrow.

I am taking a class through the NMSS called Everyday matters. We are reading the book the Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor. I am learning a lot.
