Multiple Sclerosis ????

So I haven't gotten any better although my vitamin D levels have improved. My walking gait is horrible and I am having tingling, muscle spasms really bad at nights especially. My doctor says he thinks the viruses have attacked my nervous system and has prescribed physical therapy. He's done a brain mri and it shows normal, but I've been suffering for a long time with multiple problems. Does anyone think this EBV stuff could be ms??? i've been researching it and my symptoms are so close to ms especially the fatigue side which I haven't had it that bad since I was 20. I have chronic fatigue syndrome, so I am not sure what's going. I also did an emg/ncv test which shows nerve damage...I am confused. Help???

Hi, firstly I've got to tell you your profile says your male and i've no clue why your photo has cropped off your head like it has, never seen that before, some what unfortunate end result. lol

Seriously though, I noticed that you've been dx with chronic fatigue, 1 herpes simplex, reactivated mono (EBV) and low vit D levels. I'm thinking that even though the chronic fatigue was dx a very long time ago, and hasn't been as bad since, any one of these added dx could be why your 'suffering' more now, basically flairing up the CFS.

My advice to you would be to find out if any of these dx's are affecting your CFS, which is an MS mimic btw and if it at all explains your situation. The other thing, is if your tests show evidence of nerve damage, what explanation have you been given for this, is it common for CFS too?

Sorry probably not very helpful, maybe someone else will chime in on this.

Cheers...........JJ

I used to live in beautiful downtown Highlands, on Shore Drive :-)

Have you had an MRI (with and without contrast) of your c-spine?
