In regards to MS.....what you've mentioned experiencing would generally 'not' be consistent, you didn't have any neurologically abnormal test evidence and all the issues you've mentioned are also associated with many non neurological conditions.......rather than another MRI, I would think you would be much better off seeing a general doctor instead.
Discussing and getting tested for all the alternative explanations (eg mental health, vit B / Iron etc deficientcy, side effects- medication/ supplements/ natural etc, spine etc etc ) and having all the possibilities ruled out by your general doctor, may actually indicate the more likely cause or at least point towards what it could be...
EEG was performed like u said. Recommended by the neurologists to check up for my tremors. But it was the surgeon then not neurologist who checked it with needles and said it. Neurologist on the other hand said its all due to anxiety as he checked my MRI ECG and EEG reports all were clear. But the problem is i took MRI when i had vertigo and these symptoms came after the vertigo. should i go for MRI again?
Thanx again it clarifies things a lot :D so first target ophthalmologist.
About scheduling thats why i came here that should i again go to nerologist because he is the best i have got in Pakistan rest are not very good because it all started with a neurologist who gave me anti depressant for treatment of vertigo and i went nuts. He told me ur vertigo is due to stress and i was like i have no stress he said take these and i took those tablets and after shocks are in front of you.
Well it was Neuro Physician who said MS and Neurolgist said its Anxiety. Well reflexes were fine and i walked properly as well these tests were taken by neurologist. The physician did not even bother to see my Reports he took a needle and swapped it across around my arms i felt slight different sensation right at the end and i have back pain issue from past 10 years and he said its MS. About vision its there permanently. and only on TV or mobile texts. MRI was General. Symptoms are on both sides of the body even. Well i last went 3 months a ago as he said its anxiety u deal with it through vitamins and exercises at ur age i do not want u to become a drug addict.
Hi Salu and welcome,
I would strongly suggest you consider getting a second neurological opinion! Pakistan is one of the countries where the incidence rate of MS is quite low within Pakistan's vast population. There would probably be neurologists in your country who've never diagnosed a patient with MS, approx 50 MSers per million.....
Q: Is it MS?
A: The 'symptoms' you mention could be caused by many different things, there is a much higher possibility for the causation not to be a neurological condition like MS when you don't have any abnormal neurological evidence eg clear MRI's, normal VEP's, normal clinical exam etc
It might be helpful to contact the Pakistan MS society and see if they will provide you with the names of any MS specialising neurologists in your area. It would probably be better for your mental health to get a second MS opinion, and know for sure that you actually do have MS before even thinking about MS disease modifying drugs.
PS. Your English is very good :D
You have alot going on it must be frustrating not having an answer. Did the neurologist say MS or the neuro surgeon? It has to be a neurologist who diagnosis MS. Does your double vision come and go or is it all the time? What about your neurological exam, that is reflexes and such. Is it abnormal? That is the most important part of a diagnosis of MS. Are your symptoms on one side of the body, asymetrically or on both sides of the body evenly? How long have you been going to the neurologist? Are you scheduled for a follow up? Was your MRI looking specifically MS or was it a general one? Was it with contrast? If a MRI does not show MS they will not diagnose MS and put you on the drugs to slow MS.
Sorry for my mistake. Its twitching not tingling ( tingling would be having needle feeling right?) but i feel muscle twitching
