My Delayed HAPPY THANKSGIVING, I can now smile.

If you might recall I posted about my son before ThanksGiving and said its  not so happy this year

Here's  good the update.

My son has T-Cell Lymphoma,  I spoke with his Oncologist,  he said Brandon's cancer,  if you had to pick a cancer to have this one is the best one to have...   more than 80% cure rate.  Plus his age 25 ..

His bone marrow is clear and his age and  no other health problem are working in his favor,  your positive thoughts and prayers  had an effect.

He  has started Chemo,  and will  have a total of three Chemo  treatments, once every four weeks.
He has a chest tube drain all the fluids that keep filling his lungs,

Since Brandon is in the Army the transferred him to a private hospital since the Army does't have a lot of experience dealing with cancer in such a young person.

Here's what really disturbing after taking  with his medical team,  they let it slip they are treating more and more soldiers that have served in Iraq for Lymphomas.               WTF------  HUMMMMM !!!!

Sure make you think, what else is happening to our boys & girls that served.    His SGT that served over at the same time Brandon was there ,  was treated for Lymphoma this past year.

Well the Good news  ,  is the great Prognosis for Brandon.

                                 So DELAYED HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE.....

take care everyone.
JB

John, that is such good news!!  I'm so glad that it hasn't spread to his bone marrow, yet, and that it has a very high cure rate.  Good thing it was discovered before it started to spread !

Take care,
Kelly

Thank God! JB! I'm so happy! But, I will continue to pray!

Have been hearing more instances about this cancer here too (w/out military deployment). A close friend's sister just beat it.

Here's to you and your family JB and to your Son who's going to kick this beast arsh! May it disintigrate and be gone forever!
(((((hugs))))))

JB,
In perspective, that is relatively good news.  I will continue to hold Brandon, his wife and all of you close in thought.  Chemo is rough but amazingly effective, especially in these tough young people.

As for the increase in cancers in our troops, it is frightening that they have placed their lives in jeopardy in more than one way, first with the known enemy and now with all those hidden, lurking dangers.

hugs to all,
L

Sending prayers and hugs in your direction.  Chemo can be rough but his youth will serve him well as you say.

(WTF is right!!)
