Thanks for all the support, as usual. Yes, I am very excited to go, just going over all the needs of the kids and the babysitter. That was a GOOD problem to have, finding a sitter. Thought hubby would be here to watch them all, but not since he got a job! It is a good feeling...
By the way, if I get a cane, which hand to I use it in. My trouble is my right leg. I know my friend on here told me what to do earlier today, but I am already confused what she said. She said if it is an orthopedic issue, hold it in the other hand? Neuro issue hold it in he same hand?
I think I will post a seperate post actually...
Thanks,
Michelle
Michelle,
Great timing for this trip! You do need a break from your everyday life and a change of city and scenery will be a good thing.
I agree with Quix. Your friend is still your friend and you are still you. If you don't make a big deal about the changes she won't either.
You ladies have some fun and tell us all about it when you return.
Hugs,
Erin :)
I echo everyone else's words. Pilots are great, the other shoe has already fallen and Chicago is a wonderful city to visit!
Cabs are everywhere. Use them to get around. Eat out. Buy a cheap cane.
Have fun. Your friend is still your friend. You are still you.

Have a great trip Michelle. Where will you be staying? I'm from Chicago (I live on the east cost now) and I miss it terribly! It's a great city, very easy to get around. And SOOO beautiful at this time of year! Take a walk by the lake if your leg will let you. If it won't take a horse drawn carriage ride around the gold coast! :-)
Have fun!!!
Stephanie
This trip sounds like a wonderful thing, even with it's questions and concerns. I'll bet that your friend will just be glad to see you, no matter what changes. I had a friend that was away for several months. I went to see him, and he must have gained 50 pounds, which was a shock compared to the skinny guy that he had been. After a few minutes, I just saw him, my friend of many years.
As for a cane, I just saw some in a drug store, so if you end up feeling like having one could really help, you can pick one up for a relatively low price.
I've flown quite a bit in the past few years, and every time the pilot did an excellent job, even in poor weather. I'm sure your pilot will remember to look both ways, and besides, there are those air traffic controllers that help them out!
Have lots of fun in the evenings!
See you when you get back!
Kathy
