OT: SNOW!!
I'm looking out the window at light SNOW mixed with rain. It's going down to minus 4 celsius tonight. What the heck? Yes I live up north but this is ridiculous.

Weird weather here! Supposed to be around 87-92 for rest of the month & then 69 on Oct. 1! Sudden changes or extreme hot or cold seem to make my body go into shock & super tires me!
From the other side of the planet....we are just exiting winter. Here in Canberra, it was the coldest winter in about ten years, which I was expecting after we just returned here after suffering for five years in the tropics. We had several nights of around -10C, and some days it didn't crawl above 5C.
It's also been the wettest winter in I don't know how long, with lots of areas of Australia flooded, some quite badly.
I don't know what the long range forecast is, but if the rain stops and all that growth dries out, we'll be in for one of "those" bushfire seasons. Not good.
Frost on the ground here this morning (it's just about 7am) and a forcast high of 16 which must be 60 something......going up to 20C which must be almost 70F?

It had melted by this morning, though it's still COLD outside. I just posted a couple pics of yesterday's light snowfall for those who may have doubted me. :) I could hardly believe it myself.
Heat Index is still over 100 degrees here.......Would love it to get colder! This heat is killing me.
Nice day yesterday, some scattered clouds but still 21 C (70 F). We went out fishing on the lake for a few hours and it was teeshirt weather.

We usually don't get freezing temps till the begining or middle of November.
I'm hoping for another mild snow year like last year. We only had to snowblow the driveway 3 times all winter. Most years I can't even guess how many times we have to snowblow...25...35??? more??
Anyway, I'm glad the snow is not here yet :)

It is raining cat and dogs here! Yuck I hate rain and would rather have snow.
I told a friends who lives in Canada just tonight when she said it was raining there too that at least with snow you can have a sunny day, the ground is pretty and white instead of all muddy and gross and you can even make a snowman or snow angels if you are motivated.
Both increase our water tables but rain has no other nice qualities that I can find, lol.

It dropped to about 70 F when the sun set here - please, I want to enjoy some fall weather before the temps plunge to the freezing mark. - L

I should have added that I can afford. :)
I spent most of my teenage years and a lot of my Navy days in the bay area I learned to sail and water ski in the SF Bay. And that salt water hurts a lot when you fall there. :)

Send some of that snow my way. It is still in the upper 80's to mid 90's here. I sure wish I could find some place that is about 70 year round as I don't do cold or hot very well. When it is hot my Sx are a lot worse and when it is cold I just can not get warm even if it is 90 in my home. :)
