OT for fun: Lovely Beauty and the Big, Bad Neuro

Last night Moki was having trouble going to sleep.  Quix began the story with the intent we each add to it.  Let's help Moki sleep tonight by continuing the story.  Have fun and enjoy.  Go where ever it takes you

Our Quix begins:

Lovely Beauty and the Big, Bad Neuro

Once upon a time they was this beautiful girl.  She had all of life's riches and every day was a celebration.  She was fond of strolling through the woods and caring for life's creatures.  But, One day she came upon a sleeping MonSter.  It seemed peaceful and harmless.  When it awakened it spoke in a beguiling voice.  "Hi, you are yound ang beautiful.  If you will be my friend I will show you wonders you never dreamed out.  You will see with new eyes and walk with new legs.  This sounded enchanting and Lovely Beauty reached out for the hideous creature with her trust.....

Some else can provide the next and the next and we'll entertain Moki through the pain.

saveone writes:

The MonSter was a truley beguiling creature, known to promise wonders that would blind the eye.

The beautiful young girl, though, being the kind sweet and trusting person she was took the MonSters hand.  Instantly the wonders began to unfold.  She knew she was about to behold a wondrous sight because her fingers and her feet began to tingle.  They felt both hot and cold, a truly wondrous feeling.

She turned to the MonSter and smiled.  She told him how she felt, how she was experiencing both cold and hot at the same time.  The MonSter smiled and said, "Little one, how confused you are.  What you feel is all in your head.  Created by your own expectations."  The smile he returned was not one of comfort but one the led the little girl to believe, he was not being entirely truthful.

Then he once again raised his head and held out his hand.....

LLWB  writes:

But the beautiful you girl ran instead to the distinguised looking man in the white coat. He said, "it's all right little girl" You are only dreaming, you don't really feel what you think you feel, it's all in your head!"   So the beautiful little girl returned to the woods, and once again encountered the MonSter, and he said..............

Anger slunk away but he would return when the time was right.

So Lovely took her parchment that contained her proof that the MonSter existed to the cave of the White Coat Clan.  She patiently waited her turn.  She was sure today was the day that Neuro would make the MonSter go away.

MonSter was still with her but he was not as active as usual.  He knew now was the time he had to be careful.  The proof was the Oracle was powerful medicine.

Finally Lovely took her turn.  She went before Neuro and said, "Did you see the proof from the Oracle?  Now do you believe me?  The MonSter really exists!"

Neuro smiled and said, "The Oracle know nothing!  He tells lies!  I do not believe what he said."

"But" said Lovely Beauty, "did you not see the footprints?"

Evil Neuro smirked and spoke in a condescending way, "There may be footprints but they do not match the footprints of a MonSter.  They take the wrong path and they are not big enough.  You must believe me, not the Oracle.  You still need to see my friend who will shrink these thoughts from your head."

Lovely left the cave in tears.  The MonSter held on to her legs and sang his song.  Once again he had gotten by with his nasty games.

There is no happy ending to this story.  Only a lesson to be learned....Neuros can be evil and they go to a weenie roast every Friday night and never trust a MonSter no matter his promises.

The End

Beauty fell woozy and it wasn't love.  She was dizzy and fell when the ground in the forest was uneven.  Her leg, the one on which the MonSter had such a grip, became painful.  She cried with it's intense aching.  It was so hard to stay quiet and sweet and trusting.  Right beside the MonSter came another companion, Anger.  She tried to deny Anger any home with her, but even when he left her alone, he would not wander far.

While she waited for Neuro, the Second, her kindly uncle, Fouram, took her along on a trip to the city of the Oracle of MaRI.  She thought, maybe she could hear from the Oracle himself what he had seen in his visions through the Donut of Sound.  They had a nice day traveling together.  She always felt loved and nutured when they were together.  While Uncle Fouram went to the big market, Lovely went to the Oracle.  His servants there told her he never spoke with mere mortals, but she could have the record of his visions on parchment.  Excited, she said yes, and they handed her a great rolled parchment with gold ribbon.

While she waited for Uncle Fouram she trembled as she unfolded the scroll.  It was written in a wondrous and MySterious language, but she recognized a few words.  She saw the words Footprints, broken, Telltale marks.   Hurriedly she read to the bottom which contained the final pronouncements of the Oracle.

"Through the Donut of MaRI the visions are clear that a MonSter has left Telltale footprints on the mind of this lovely beauty.  The Men of The White Coat Clan should beware and seek this MonSter, for nothing else would leave footprints of this kind."

It was a Miracle!  The Oracle had seen the MonSter!

she sat off to see the man in the white coat that would listen to her.   Even though he wore a white coat, he did not belong to the white coat clan.  He belonged to the General People Clan, also known as a GP.  He would tell her what to do.  Besides everyone knows you have to go through the GP to get to the man from the White Coat Clan, the one that was referred to as Neuro.  She had heard the White Coat Clan liked to go to weenie roasts.  She wondered why that was important, but she had heard it said more than one time.

She waited her turn to see the GP.  He was a very busy man  However, as Beauty waited the MonSter came to visit again.  He liked to play games with her, but the games were not fun nor wondrous.

The MonSter would laugh his evil laugh as he held onto her leg forcing her to drag him where ever she went and that MonSter was heavy!    He also liked to cap his hands over her ears when someone talked to her.  Because she couldn't really hear what was being said to her she often answered wrong.  Then the MonSter would laugh again.  How she hated that laugh.  Why could no one else see or hear him. He had to be meanest Monster ever.

The day came when she was to see the GP.  She drug the MonSter along with her as he continued to  hold on to her leg.  The GP was kind but he admited that even though he believed her when she told him about the MonSter he couldn't see him because he wasn't from the White Coat Clan.  But he agreed to send her to another man also known as Neuro.    Curious, it was, how they all had the same name.

When the MonSter heard what the GP said he hooted out loud with laughter.  She heard him singing his song again:

I'm the little MonSter, they cant see,
not till i've made your brain swiss cheese
None of this will loosen the grip I have on thee
You will soon learn nothing in life is for free
There will be spots that they will see
It comes with a cost - a huge fee

How she hated that song and she hated the MonSter.  But she had a plan, if Neuro #2 couldn't see the MonSter then she was going to that weenie roast.  She new ther would be lots of men from the White Coat Clan there.

So Beauty waited on the day she was to see Neuro #2 and while she waited the MonSter continued with his gaimes.....

Beauty wasn't allowed to see Neuro again, the person that made appointments said that he was very busy and she would receive a report by carrier pigeon.  She returned home and tried to find comfort in the riches of her everyday life, but she continued to experience the MonSter's "wonders" that weren't wonderful at all.

When the carrier pigeon finally arrived, the message from Neuro said simply "  The Oracle saw only non-specific spots caused by your age and headaches.  No need to see me again".

Beauty cried out "but I'm 22!  When do spots start?  I never have any headaches!"  She despaired, remembering that Neuro had told her the White Coat Clan could not help her.  She thought perhaps he was wrong, so she set out to find another of the White Coat Clan who could and would help her.  Holding her head high once again....

humming gently as I got up.

The miracle Oracle , truly was miraculous!!   It revealed many secrets that had lay hidden within my head that the evil MonSter had planted, but these secrets were cryptic and could only be decifered by a truly special agent called a MonSter specialist.

The MonSter knew this and grinned maliciously .  He knew that these MonSter specialists were hard to find and felt that his attachment to Lovely Beauty would not be discovered for many years.   He shook with evil laughter....

Oh if only she could get rid of this MonSter.  Would the Oracle make it go away? No No No said the song in her head.  Not the Oracle or the man from the White Coat Clan.  What was his name?  Nero, Nidiot, no those were not right.  Then she remembered.  It was Neuro.

She had had such hopes when she met him.  She knew he would be able to see that stupid, clinging, brain sucking MonSter.  But he had not.  The MonSter had fooled him too.  What was she going to do.

Then the sounds stopped,  The Oracle was still.......

As she lay with her eyes closed to the sound of the miraculous magnet machine, it seemed as though her body was buzzing more than the machine.  The headphones placed on her ears did not drown out the sound of the MonSter continuing to sing to her:

None of this will loosen the grip I have on thee
You will soon learn nothing in life is for free
There will be spots that they will see
It comes with a cost - a huge fee

She than began to experience a physical grip, an unbearable hug across her chest.  The monster proclaimed that this was his way of reminding her of the "sensational" things yet to come because she had promised to be his friend......

All seemed lost.....

as Lovely beauty waited and waited for the day to come for her to see the magical Oracle of MaRI, her waiting was filled with anguish and fear. What if her MonSter was too clever, too sneaky and the men in white coats would not see what she can clearly see.

As she walked towards the donut of sound, her heart beat faster and faster but she pushed down her fears and walked on. Holding her head high, she walked towards the white coats in training, hoping they would find where the MonSter was hiding.

The donut of sound, whirred and groaned but she could still hear the MonSter singing

I'm the little MonSter, they cant see,
not till i've made your brain swiss cheese

but Lovely Beauty wanted so much to visit the oracle of the MaRI.  But it was a great distance to go and the cost was great.  Tears rolled down her face.  There seemed to be no hope at all.

For weeks Lovely Beauty contemplated how she could go the great oracle, but she just couldn't figure out how to pay the cost.  You see the money she had saved had been spent on visits to the Man Behind the Door.

The Man Behind the Door dressed like the man from the White Coat Clan but he was different.  When she talked about all the wonderous things that had ocurred over the years, he listened and he asked questions.  He too wanted her to go to the Oracle of the MaRI but alas there seemed no way to get there.

What was she to do.  She had this MonSter who promised such wonderful things but in truth he had decieved her and now no one would believe the things he had done.  He would hide when she talked about him and people would say, Lovely Beauty, I see no MonSter, everything appears normal.

But normal they were not...........

while barely suppressing a yawn and while inching toward the door, "Ah, Little Girlie, this is a bit tiresome.  You have a conversion disorder and spend too much time on the internet.  You need an evaluation with a colleague of mine.  He will open your head and shrink the contents.  Then you can leave me alone."

The MonSter grinned widely and snickered, "This dude will NEVER find me."

Lovely Beauty felt herself leaving the office and caught a glimpse of a horrible abyss.  "Aren't you going to do anything to help me?  How do you know what is in my head?"

The evil neuro shrugged.  "Okay.  There is a test done at the magical Oracle of MaRI.  You can go and pay for the great seer to tell you the same thing.  I hope you have lots of money.  The Oracle will tell you there is no MonSter - and no great man of the White Coat Clan will ever tell you different!"

All seemed lost.....

Little do you know, my pretty little one, but I've been with you for some time.  Remember when you felt dizzy and tired for days, and thought you had eaten too many green apples?  You hadn't that was me, and I'll always be with you.

Frightened now, the beautiful one ran and ran, but the MonSter was always her shadow.  He reached out and grabbed her leg, making it harder to move.

She ran back to see the man in the white coat, but was told he was very busy and could see her in six months.  She cried "But can't you see, I need help with this MonSter that is holding on to my leg; don't you see how it's dragging me down?"

"I don't see anything; maybe you just slept on it wrong,  Neuro can see you in six months."

She despaired, sat alone and cried, then called friends for help.  Dear friends listened and made her laugh, and she tried to forget the MonSter, as he let go of her leg and faded from view.

Six months passed, and she went to see Neuro.  MonSter strutted in beside her, sat next to Neuro, and grinned.

Neuro said "I hear you've been depressed and have been imagining some terrible monster is following you.  You know this can't be true, of course."

She spoke up:  "Can't you see the MonSter?!  He's right beside you!  When you did your tests, he kept my leg bouncing back and forth, he made my toes point up when you scratched the bottom of my foot, don't you see?"

And the evil Neuro said....
