Pre diagnosed with MS

Can anyone tell me if upper middle abdominal pressure be related with MS??
I have multiple white matter lesions on my brain MRI and I am waiting for the results of my spinal tap.
The only other sympton I have is tingling in my right leg.  My neurologist and GI doctor don't think the pressure is related to MS.  I also had ECG, CT scan and X Ray that were perfectly normal.  If anyone can shed some light on this I would really appreciate it.

Hi Carol

Thanks for the reply.  You are right this is probably related to MS and probably due the fact that I can't run anymore like I used to.  Thanks for your nice wishes.  I am holding to some small hope.  Thanks for praying for me.

Hi Tammy,

I am so glad I found this forum.  It is nice to be able to communicate with people in the same situation.

I will get the LP results on Friday or Monday.  I am praying that I do not have this disease but I am also preparing myself for the worst.

The blood test checked for 14 different things.  I do not know what all of them are I just know of three, vasculitis, lupus and lyme disease and some other inflammation.

I think I have a good neurologist she is young and caring not the snobish kind at all, however she is not an MS specialist.  When I made the initial appointment I never suspected that I could have MS so I just pick the first available neuro.  One of her associate is an MS specialist but he already has 800 MS patients, I would have to wait longer for an appointment.  I'm not sure if I should switch to the specialist.

Hi Sara,

I have horrible stomach issues.  I don't care what any doctor says.  I know it's related to MS.  The majority of my tummy aches are due to constipation.  Believe me when you get extremely constipated the pain can turn up anywhere in the stomach area.  My doctor seems to think that it's all just another symptom of MS, probably due to the medications I take.  The fix, now I take more pills for constipation.  Does it work?  Usually not. haha

Hang in there sweetie, I don't mean to make this a joke.  I do realize it's very serious and also very scary, especially for those who are just now being diagnosed.  You will discover that there are many, many, symptoms that go along with MS either directly or indirectly.  When they pop up just let the doctor know about it and go from there.  I wish you the best and I also will be praying that it's not MS.

I'll be praying,
Carol

If the pressure goes around your ribs, it could be the MS "hug"

Hi Sara

Again, welcome....I'm sorry for the reasons that brought you here, but am glad you're here with us just the same....

How long do you have to wait for the LP results?  What other diseases have been ruled out for you?

It really sounds like you have a good Neuro and I'm happy that someone is doing all they can to take care of you...

Thank you for your reply.
I have been pre diagnosed with MS by my neurologist because of the tingling in my right leg, the lesions on my brain MRI (fortunately my cspine and tspine MRI were normal) and because the other diseases that mimics MS have been ruled out by blood test.  If my spinal tap is positive I will be diagnosed with MS.

Also, could you kindly tell me what Pre diagnosed with MS means?
