Progesterone Creme Anyone??

Hello again, first I have to say how grateful I am for this forum.  Simply cruising the forums q and a's has been extremely helpful.

I do not have an official DX yet but I do expect it.  I have had two serious exacerbations, (and I am pretty sure some small ones in between)  including one resulting in ON, I also read the radiologists report from my MRI two weeks ago and there are confirmed enhancements.

Anywho!   My regular (non-exacerbation) symtoms skyrocket the week before my "cycle";  I have read that it's due to the drop off in estrogen and lack of progesterone.   I picked up some progesterone cream from my local natural foods/homeopathy store and started using it.  I am wondering if anyone has found that using the cream improves their body's response during this time?

Thanks again in advance for at least reading this and even more if you respone.  Also HAPPY EASTER

All the supplements and vitamins and other OTC items we can get, even though they aren't regulated by the FDA, really can have an interaction with our rx drugs.  Always be smart about this and make sure of what you are taking.  I would love to know what your doctors say, so please come back and let us know.

I sure will.

As a side note,  Optical Neuritis and onion cutting do not go well together.  Lesson learned today, the hard way.

Great suggestion, thanks.

Good question and I can't give an answer. I know my coworker's doc  just recommended going to the health food store for the very same thing  - she is peri-menopausal.  The only thing I can add is be sure to list this OTC cream on all of your drug lists so the doctors ca n make sure it doesn't conflict with anything else you take.
