Provigil

Is anyone taking Provigil?  Has it helped you?  What does it help?  Do you have any side effects from it?  I'm going to try it, after I get my results back from my next set of MRIs.  Does it make the tremors worse?

Thank you!  :)

Hi, I take Provigil too.  My dose is 200 mg/day.  I love it!

It is the ONE good thing I got out of seeing my Neuro #1 - he is the one that first prescribed it for me - and the other dr.s agree that it's ok for me to continue.

I feel that it is a really "smooth" drug as it is decribed in the literature.  It's the first thing I do when I get up in the morning - but not because I feel dependent upon it - but if I take it too late it doesn't wear off by my bedtime.

It's really great how I just have SO much more energy now.  Sometimes the tank still runs low -  but I am better by far with the Provigil.  I am fortunate as well that my insurance covers it.

I've seen Ads all over the internet - in fact at this very site - for a 7 Day Free Trial.  You could ask your dr. to write a script and give it a try.

Best wishes,

Julia

Yes, I take provigil, some days up to 400 mg (the max dose).  I've been on it for about 4 years and I couldn't get through the day with out it.

Everyone is different so it's hard to say if it would make tremors worse for you or not.  I don't have tremors and it does not make me jittery at all.

In addition to the amount of provigil I take, i also drink up to  4 cups of regular coffee a day.  I don't drink any other caffeine type drinks such as soft drinks (I can't drink anything that is carbonated due to taking Topamax), so I do take in a lot of caffeine a day.

I've not had any bad side effects from the provigil and I also don't have any problems with my insurance company (Tricare) in obtaining the medication.
