More VA RAnt

Well the VA has struck again. Back in may when I won my appeal for my disability I had called their billing office to get my refund of the co-pays I had made over the last 5 years. At that time I was told I would get the refund in 6-8 weeks. Well 9 months later I realized that I still had not gotten the refund so I called today to find out what was going on.

I was informed by the lady I spoke to that an audit of my account had not been done and that I had to request the audit in order to get the refund. That is what I did back in may but she claimed that I had not done so. So now she says "she put in the audit of my account", but that was the same thing I was told in may also. She also said that the audit would take 8 weeks and then another 10 weeks for me to actually get the money.  This puts it out to May of next year assuming she is telling me the truth about actually putting in for the audit.  Over those 5 years my claim was pending I paid around $6K in co-pays that I am due a refund for.

I sure hope that you really get it when they say you'll get it this time.

Sorry to hear this Dennis. That's a lot of money to have in limbo. I'd be upset too!
