My best friend gets electrical zaps in her head; most likely occipital neuralgia from the degeneration in her cervical spine.
She gets some relief from anti-inflammatories, ice, etc. I don't know if this helps, but I hope you can find some relief. My friend actually cries when the zaps are bad, and she is one of the strongest women I know. She is wrung out afterwords, too.
She also gets migraines, but they don't seem connected to the zaps; don't mean they can't be.
Take it easy and feel better soon.

If it's in the BACk of the head, it could be related to migraine. I hate to keep harping back to the migraine issue, because it's sort of my Achille's heel. But migraine disease and MS can be comorbid. They often go hand in hand for some reason. And they make diagnosis confusing sometimes.
But, I digress. My last neuro told me that what I figured were some type of seizures were more likely migraine episodes. Migraines are VERY electric, he said. And typically in the back of the head. If not -- never mind!
Feel better!

Yes it the one's that feels like a electrical shock or (L'hermittes) but in the head I tend to get them alot more in the head then in the body as well in the eyes at times but this one felt like one big one that hit me
Cowboy
Is it a sharp shooting pain running through your head (brain)?
If so......I get that at times and the ones that shoot through my arms and legs. NO FUN!!!!
The sharp shooting pain in the brain does scare me the most though.
Try and get plenty of rest as your body is telling you that you need it.
Hope you feel better soon.
Have a great night,

Brain zap? Describe what you mean, cowboy! Was it an electrical shock running through your head?
