um... nothing but have fun! :) I think I'll try to put together a puzzle, watch foot-ball, paint, attempt to ride a bike with my sister and not kill myself and just be over-all lazy and yet useful to mum (you know, cooking & cleaning, etc).
most of all, try to recover from that last doctor's visit. :) smiles! :)
(((((hugs)))))))

My schedule for this week is the following, Sleep, Rest, take care of Shadow, sleep, rest, nap and than rest. No I DO NOT feel the least bit guilty... I wish this schedule for all of you... The Holidays although full of fun and good times can be over taxing and we all tend to over extend ourselves...
So try to take it easy for at least a few days.
Happy New Year everyone!!!!
{{{{~!~}}}} to each of you

No medical appts till mid-January!  Feeling really good lately, energy-wise; dare I say, almost 'normal'?  It's hard to believe how well I feel, given the ON episode a few weeks ago.  It is a relief to feel somewhat like my old self again.

Off work all week!  Enjoying quiet time at home, reading, watching movies, baking, and trying to stay warm!  Hosting a little New Year's eve party here tomorrow night.  We might even break out the XBox 360 Rock Band.  I think I will need a few cocktails in me before I am prepared to sing in front of my friends. With my left hand numb but also painful by late in the day, I am no good at the guitar or the drums, so the only thing left for me is the microphone.  Yikes!

Heading out this afternoon for a cut, colour and pedicure.  Looking forward to a little pampering!

Monday:  Follow up phone call with my Lyme doctor tonight.  I'm working on writing up questions and summary of how treatment is going.  Today marks 3 weeks on Mino.  I'll also get the other test results, and am anxious to see what, if anything, shows up.

I'm back at work after my car accident adventure in OH last week.  This is also my first week down to part time.  (Well, so was last week but I was off Tue-Fri.)  If the insurance hurries, I might be car shopping this week.  I'll need to downgrade, but hope to snag a deal.

And not to sound like a downer, but I am really looking forward to the end of 2008!  I'm ready for a new year, already!

I got all my results back from lab except the lp.  Everything ok.  I had the lyme test, ana, ra, anti-ssa, myasthemia gravis panel. ace, crp, esr, anti-ssb, lactic dehydrogenase, anca, c3, c4.  They sent me the labs and the c3 was high. I guess they will call with a normal result on the lp because it sure is taking a while.  Lynette

I'm working today and Friday with three nice days off in between to close out business year-end stuff with my husband.  This time of year is always hectic.

The rest of the week I hope to rest up because January is jam packed full of doctor stuff - everyone's recall/revisit hits next month.  Monday is the first of 7 appts. I have scheduled at this point.

K- wish I was going to Maui with you - enjoy the beach and whale watching for all of us.

My best to all, Lulu

I go to CC to see the MS specialist and have another set of MRIs of my c-spine and t-spine done on a better machine, WED. the 31. He will go over the results that day of the MRIs. He also wanted all my old test..LP,VEP,SSEP,EMG. He wants to review them, just in case something was missed. He said that sometimes things are reported as normal and he looks at them and finds something that the other doctors missed.

Tues...I have to get a blood draw for my PT/INR. I've been slacking off in this department...I guess you could say I'm tired of this whole routine. My blood hasn't been therapeutic since OCT. They have no clue why. They keep upping the Coumadin and my body reacts by staying the same level as the time before. They put me on the highest dose I've ever been on (12.5mg) for 3 days and put me on 10mg for the rest of the week. The 10mg has been the only dose that will increase my numbers. The scary part about it is, it was also the dose that landed me in the hospital, hemorrhaging back in May.

Frankly, I'd like to go off Coumadin and go on a aspirin, like my mother. BOTH of my parents could not be regulated on Coumadin. The doctors aren't listening to this fact, so I'll do what the doctors ordered even though I don't like it, and hope that they will take me off soon. I've been on it now for 7 months and there hasn't been very many times when I have been therapeutic or at least, stayed that way for very long.

Hi Granny! So nice to hear about your Christmas.  I'm praying for you!

I took off work today and tomorrow.  Just going to make phone calls, pay bills, and try to relax and catch up from the holidays.

Other than that, not so much going on.

Who else?

I had a wonderful Christmas.  My children and grandchildren all spent the day with me.  It was so fun watching the grandkids opening their gifts.  Makinzey, my almost 2 yr. old was just a blast to watch.  She was so excited about Santa coming to her house and then when she came in and saw he had come to Granny and Papa's ... well, words can't express the excitement in her eyes.

Our newest grandbaby, who is almost 5 mo. old, could care less about the gifts but the paper was a different story.  She just wanted to eat everything.

I actually had a pretty good day pain wise.  I'm having fewer and fewer days in between, so when I do have a low pain day it's a true blessing and I do thank the Lord for them.  I'm still having a lot of problems with my bladder.  I go back to the urologist on the 5th.  I guess we will probably discuss surgery since the medication hasn't worked and I'm still having to wear a catheter all the time.  If I take it out I swell up like a hot air balloon.  My primary physician made me put it back in after the urologist made me take it out.  He said the swelling was too dangerous. When I go back to the urologist I'm afraid he's going to be mad.  What else could I have done.  I sure don't want a blood clot or something worse to happen due to the severe edema.

Any way that's a little bit about how my life is going right now.  I hope everyone is doing good and had a very Merry Christmas.

I'll be praying,
Carol
