Spinal cord Lesions and MRI

Hi Everybody,
I am feeling a lot happier today after reading Dr Kantor's response to my post on MRI that is not showing lesions etc.  Apparently with TM lesions may not show as MRI is only 50% to 85% positive and according to Dr Kantor does not beat the clinical exam from the neuro, so in other words I should accept what my neuro is telling me.  I did sort of, just couldn't work out why nothing showed up on MRI.

So maybe my LP might show something but it might not either as I don't know if that always shows stuff up for TM either but I will do it. Yesterday was so hot here and that yielded me a bad day.  I checked out all the MS mimics but I have decided myself that I fit TM or MS the most...lol

Well my MRI with the gadolinium is for tomorrow.

Take care,
Thanks again for those on here that have put up with my repeated posts that prob go in circles.
Cheers,
Udkas.

Well the MRI machine broke..lol, so umm that has been postponed until it's fixed and the LP is next Wednesday but I am back to being excited about it... as I am hoping it might give me some kind of result....I don't get nervous about things like that.. I had one 13 years ago and it was fine, I trust my neuro, and he is doing it, so I am confident he will be good at it.

Cheers, Udkas

When are you going for your LP?  You probably already told us, but I can't find that post anymore.  I have my repeat LP on Jan 28.  Yikes for both of us, but we'll survive it :)

Good luck!  Let's hope the LP shows something - it's such a pain to go through.
