Started Tysabri this week

I had my first infusion on Thursday after a month of going back and forth with insurance, etc. it went fine...no problems or side effects just yet. This is my first DMD so we'll see how it goes. I'm hoping to start feeling better soon.

Welcome to the Tysabri Club! I've had 9 infusions so far and my experience has been very positive. It's the only DMD I've taken and it seems to be doing its job.

I've had two sets of brain MRI's done since I started and there is no evidence of any new MS activity. I have also not had any relapses or worsening of existing symptoms since I started. I love that it only takes 1 hour, once a month.

I'm JC virus negative so I don't really have to worry about PML. Although I'm still being monitored. That's why I've had the two sets of MRI's.

I hope your experience is the same :-)

I took my 26th infusion last week.  I haven't had a major relapse since I started it, and I'm grateful for that!  It took a good six months for me to start feeling better.  Now, from about 4 days after the infusion 'til about 4 days before my next infusion, my energy and strength are quite good! :-)

Best of luck to you!

I have been getting infusions since November, so about 10 months now.  I do not have the numbness in my legs as bad anymore, but I'm extremely tired.  I'm still up in the air about it.

I will hope along with you - may tysabri do good things for you.  I have my 7th infusion on Monday.  It will take a couple months before you feel the difference.
