Stiffness

Here lately, when I wake up in the mornings I feel stiff and sore, like I was working out or something (which I wasnt) plus when I am in the car or sitting down for periods of a time I feel stiff & sore when I get out of the car, mostly in my legs, and sometimes my arms.

Is this MS sympton or am I getting old!! :)

Thank you!!

(I am 34 yrs old, diagnosed in Aug 2007)

Did anyone ever get a proper/correct diagnosis???  I will be 55 in July and for the past year i have been waking up stiff /achy as if i had a tough workout.  Even when stationary for 10 minutes or getting out of car..  It's pretty scary since i consider myself pretty healthy and have never had any health issues.  Last week i had an x-ray  done that confirmed no bone issue, an ultrasound to confirm not a circulation problem, and today i scheduled an appointment with a neurologist....

My husband says it's probably because of the 30 lbs i've gained in 1 year and because i've stopped exercising....(ps I never exercised when i was younger... Joined gym at 53 but stopped since pain would be worse)  Im totally convinced that  menopause along with hypothyroid started this whole thing because all 3 happened pretty close to each other.  :(....  please give me some advice........   feeling like an old lady..

Ditto for me also. Not always. But Yes, sometimes.
Not sure why it happens either. But as Lu said...You are not getting old!
your children will help to keep you young at heart. :)

i have (5) so I know all about being a busy mommy. Enjoy them now (as I know you do) because they grow up sooo fast!  Way to fast!

Feel Better,

I too get that stiff sore feeling in the morning....and boy do my hips hurt when I have been in and out of my mini van several times in a day.

Not sure if it is the MS....But you sure are not old.

I feel that way all the time, but I'm 55.  If I could remember what I felt like at 34 I would be able to comment better on your question.  LOL

You have four children ?  At least that's what I'm reading in your name.  That will make you stiff and sore just keeping up with them.

The MS could also be causing some of this problem.  Have you talked to your doctor about this feeling?  There may be some type of tx that could be done to help.

But back to your question - no, you are not getting old.  You have the best years ahead of you!

be well, Lulu
