Symptoms not letting up

Looking over my recent records, I'm noticing that not a lot of time is passing before I have to note something else. For example 3 weeks ago my left leg including thigh was doing a heavy duty tingling, this went away and came back yesterday. The previous day I felt i was shaking all day. I'm also getting new symptoms. Last night my left foot had a spasm which curled it at arch pushing big toe down, and another spasm fanned out third and fourth toes. The other new thing - sudden, short lived vertigo - happened two weeks ago. So this is not 'relapse' activity is it, even if limbo land doesn't turn out to a ms dx? I read relapses have at least 30 days between each.
Does anyone have any ideas about what's going on? Any of you with ms have relapse activity more frequently than every 30 days ?

MS Math!! Too funny. Well, in that case, I guess I am in one long relapse, or there's a non-MS answer out there for me somewhere. So long as I don't have to do math, I can deal with it!!

There really is no definite time limit. If untreated,  a year is within the realm of possibility. For a symptom to be considered relapse related it generally needs to be present for at least 24 hours. This means that 2 hours of an unexplained itch or 6 hours of muscle twitching doesn't really count.

It's these types >24 hour symptoms that need to be separated by at least 30 days for 2 relapses to have occurred. If < 30 days then it's the same relapse.

MS Math for unf and profit :-)

Hi Kyle, thanks. Does 'the book' give any timeframe for length of relapse? I've got stuff going back to end of August.

Hi JDC-

"The Book" says that relapses should be separated by at least 30 days. Any activity within 30 days of prior activity is considered to be a continuation of the current relapse.
