The ads on this page

Do the red and white ads on this page bother any of you?  It seems almost cruel to have them on a forum with known vision issues.

Hi,

Ok, should be all set. It takes a few hours for Google to update, but by the end of the day you should not see it again.

Hi,

Can you tell me what the link is for the ad? I can block them from appearing if it is causing issues. We don't get to pre-approve ads from Google, but we can block them from appearing again. I just need the URL. Thanks.

The same ad appears in three spots on my page.  I realized the only movement occurs as the picture of the newspaper falls in place, but the lines gave the illusion of movement.  I had never noticed how bothersome some images could be.

Yup, yup...  I've got that red and white ad on my page, and it is a little hurty!  I'm not getting the moving sensation, but the contrast flares in my vision.

You'd think they would consider where the ad is appearing, and tailor the visual to be less strident.  I received an MS newsletter that was almost impossible to read - the font was too thin, the contrast wasn't high enough, and some of the type was too small.  I finally gave up and threw it in the trash.

As wrong as those ads seems, they are necessary to keep all of this free for us.  Thankfully they are off to the side and not in between our posts.  Personally I ignore then and never look to the right side.

Sherry...If you do get another ad that is bothersome you might try to "refresh" the page and it might go away and be replaced by a less annoying one, but I am not sure how often the ads actually change.

Ads at all seem somehow wrong, especially the ones selling drugs.

The ad that "moved" is now missing from my page.  So you will understand my point . . . it had red and white stripes radiating from a central point - hypnotic . . . nauseating!!  I'm now wondering if it was a pop-up, but I still have the "non-moving" red and white header.  I'll explore page viewing options.

Thanks,
Sherry

My page is all blue, too.  I don't know the difference.  I'll noodle around and see if I can find a "settings".  If so it is probably in "My Profile."
