There is lots of support and special programs for us, we just have to dig sometimes to get the information.
The url for the MS Foundation cooling program is

Both of these organizations differ from the NMSS. The NMSS puts much of its resources into research, looking for a cure and supporting treatment plans. The MSF and MSAA are very much patient centered and offer a variety of support programs.
MSF will entertain requests for small grants that improve quality of life, such as ramps or one of my favorites, funding a stack washer/dryer to get a woman's laundry moved out of the basement to her first floor.
Be sure to explore both of these websites - there are lots of hidden treasures.
I had a hard time choosing which one! There were 2 that I wanted!
Even hubby thought this was a good idea!
Whoa! I had no idea this existed. Thanks, Lulu!
The MS Foundation in Ft. Lauderdale also has a free cooling equipment program. It really is time to start thinking about ways to stay cool - as warm as this winter has been who knows what will happen to our weather patterns this summer
I got mine last year and love it.

Thanks Lulu for the reminder, I had forgotten about this, printing my application out now! Remember, we have to have a letter verifing diagnosis from the neuro! Might slow some people down.
If you get your request in now, they might be able to ship it as a rush, but I doubt it can get to you before your trip. Be sure to search this forum for the hot weather tips we can reviewed over and over - there will be some good ideas for you.
have a great trip,
L
Thanks! I will be looking into it soon. I'm heading to the Rio Grande Valley next week, where it's already in the 80's. I wish I had something like that now...
