A dx of sorts....

Hi, all--

Today was Wobbly Daughter's neurologist appt.

He didn't have much to work with, since her symptoms have all but disappeared and her basic exam was perfect.  He thinks perhaps she had an inflammed nerve "in her gut somewhere" which caused both the wobble & the constipation... and that once the latter was treated, the former was able to heal.  He admits that the explanation is pretty thin and not terribly comprehensive, but he really doesn't feel the need to do more followup at this time.  At leaste he didn't suggest it had all been in her head, or stress-related!

So... unless she shows up with new problems down the road, we're done.    I'm happy, though still not feeling that great sense of closure I was hoping for.   Perhaps that'll come as his evaluation sinks in.

Thanks all for hanging in there with us, and being supportive.   I'll keep checking back, just to see how everybody is doing!

Well I am glad that he didn't find anything serious but didn't just dismiss her as being a drama queen which is what a lot of these doctors are wont to do right?  I guess at least she has seen this doctor so if anything shows up again she will have her foot in the door and something that he can base anything new on from this exam!

Please let us know if anything changes and you are more than welcome to stick around honey...actually there is a rule that once you put your foot in the door you are not allowed to leave!  Didn't Quix tell you that?  tee hee  Seriously, I hope that you don't just disappear...we still need your support and it's not nice when new friends just disappear!

Lots of hugs,

Rena
