VEP results/Copaxone /Neurontin

Got the results of my VEP from last week.  One line -" Visual Test OK ".  I'll take that and run with it.  So I guess that will be a baseline and over time they may redo it to see if I add any lesions there?
I'm at the end of my second week of copaxone - not minding it at all so far...
I'm trying to figure out how to take Neurontin without feeling doped up.  Sometimes it really hits me hard. I'm only taking 300 mg (which is half of what the doc ordered) and it can knock me out or just make me stupid - neither of them help me get a day's work done, which is a must.  If anyone has words of wisdom, I'd sure appreciate it. I always eat before taking it, even though the bottle says it isn't necessary, drink alot of water and iced tea during the day, but it just seems to get right to my head!  I didn't realize I was that much of a lightweight, although in the past, one beer would make me pretty tipsy...

Peace -
Jennie

Yeah, I do take a whole pill at bedtime - that doesn't bother me as I'm already conked out!  It's the daytime nods that are problematic.  I think breaking the pills smaller and taking them throughout the day is a great idea.

Andi - I hope it goes fine for you - right now I'm about to go take a lunchtime nap - just can't seem to keep my eyes open and head upright.  A 1/2 hour nap usually is enough time to shake it off...

Neurotin does seem to help with the nerve pain so I really want to be able to take it and handle it ok....
Peace!

Hi Jennie,  I am very medication sensitive also, and I do take neurontin.  It helps me alot with nerve pain.  I think you will adjust, and your body will build up a tolerance to it.

Just keep taking the half doses, and even maybe break that in half and take those a couple hours apart.  Also, I take one of mine right at bedtime.

Hope this helps,  Amy
