What are plans for the Week ahead ? Any good news out there?

Second week of April and we have some Spring weather here in the Midwest,  our flowers are starting to pop up just a bit..

For me I'm having rotator cuff & torn bicep surgery on Tuesday,  the kids next door are all set up to do the yard work for me for few months.

This makes the third year in a row for surgery. 2011 (L) ankle , 2012 lower back L4-L3 and 2013 rotator cuff- thats sounds like I hit the surgery trifecta only no prize..  BUMMMER

Hope some one has fun or good news for the week ahead...

take care
John

Sarah, I'm sorry about the pace-maker difficulties. As you said, at least it was caught and can be dealt with in good time. If you're getting to the end of the Tysabri train, I hope the switch-over to Tecfidera goes without a hitch too!

Wow, guys, you all have much more interesting things going on than I!

John, best wishes for a speedy recovery! Hope you're able to find a good balance between resting and staying sane, LOL. :)

Laura, my parents just celebrated their 39th anniversary Saturday. I have no doubt they will reach 70 someday, Lord willing! Hubby and I celebrate 13 at the end of the month. :)

As for me, just taking it a day at a time. Hoping to hear the results of my SSEP and EEG/EMGs fom last Friday. Sad when you HOPE for an abnormal result, just because you're desperate for answers. Or just want to feel validated.

Anywho, we had two weeks of Spring weather, only to have the torrential rains return. I guess that's technically Spring weather too -- but I prefer the sunny kind!

Update for me.  Pacemaker failed its "pre-flight" test today and have to have it replaced NOW, so they say, so am scheduled for that to be done around the 18-19th, as if I didn't have enough to do to get ready for the summer trek northward!  Oh well, at least they caught it before I left!

Hopefully that was the "last Tysabri" if doc approves me for this new BG-12 (Tecfidera) and can afford, my infusion nurse thinks she's the 2nd coming as far as IV and infusion rules go.........NOT..........ha ha

Everyone have a good week, ok!

Ok, just left heart clinic, they ARE going to replace my pacer battery before I leave, talk about a tight schedule this month!

Tysabri infusion this afternoon, hopefully the last!
Will talk with neuro on may 1,

Still no word from tecfidera on cost..grrr

Notice occasional "tasting problems" cropping up, like coffee taste week and DH choking when I pour pot out and strengthen it, only yo find it still tastes weak to me!

Otherwise, learning that decadron does give me insomnia....got a total of 5 hrs sleep last night, cog fog definitely today so indulging in Starbucks and reward trip to book store and yarn store to touch all the yarn I can!

Everyone have a good week!,

Wow, Laura! I honestly think that's a record for any I've ever heard of. Congratulations to them!

John, best of luck with the surgery. Hopefully you'll be breaking your streak next year!

Shell, hope you get the chance to enjoy the weather between all that. But getting stuff off that to-do list is a great feeling too!

As for myself, still writing/researching for my little creative project mentioned last week and toying around with the arduino when I need to change gears to 'learning' mode. They days are getting loooooong, so my mood is going uuuuuuuuup! Such a fun season. If it stays dry, this weekend I'm sorting out the balcony plant situation.

Hey John - I hope it all goes smooth for you tomorrow :) You'll be bionic soon!

Spring is finally here and we are expecting 70s this week! woot woot!
Working most the week, and hoping to take one day off to finalize some paperwork, taxes, etc. Going to do my best to chalk some to-do's off my list they are hovering over me like a black cloud!

Lu - congrats to your parents! What a blessing!

Who else????

I have the monthly Tysabri infusions on Tuesday if that sounds like fun....
Other than that, just a meeting with the tax accountant on Thursday and
work.

On a very celebratory note - my parents have their 70th wedding anniversary on Tuesday and we will do a cake and punch reception for them next Sunday.  We had the adults in the family out for lunch today at a nicer restaurant to kick off the week - it as a lovely day.

The sunshine and warm weather makes us think that perhaps spring is really here.

hugs to all, but especially you John, with the upcoming surgery.
Laura
