What causes a burning sensation on he head during MRI of the brain????

My last two MRI'S I've experienced burning on my head during the MRI.  The technician is baffled at this and doesn't know why.  It's in the same place each time but this second time occurred sooner!! What is causing this sensation all of a sudden? I have MS, diagnosed in 1992 with a dozen lesions on my brain. In 2005 the MRI report said to many lesions to count!  I just want to know why all of a sudden I'm experiencing this burning sensation??? I'm afraid for the next brain scan??

I have heard of this before, experiencing heat is not common though and for the life of me all i can remember is it having something to do with micro metal bits in face and hair products....

okay i found this that mentions a possible cause of you experiencing heat on your head ie your hair products

"It is important that you do not wear any makeup or hairspray, as many of these products have tiny metal particles that could interfere with the scan and reduce the quality of the images. They might cause the area to heat up and, on the rare occasion, burn your skin."

Hope that helps......JJ

Thank you! It does make sense! I’m supposed to get this testing done every year. I do use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner though I was wearing makeup. Thank you!!
