Is it MS OR BFS?

I want to start with saying that English is not my first language.
I am a 19 years old male , I started having weird headaches 2 years ago i did not think that they were a problem because they would go away after a good night sleep . Fast forward 2 years ( my last year of highschool and yes i was very stressed about my finals )  and out of nowhere i started having the headaches again but now they were much stronger , one side headache ( left side ) i was 100% sure i had an acoustic  neuroma since i had and still have a weird buzzing in the ear + sudden loss of hearing. I had an appointment for a mri and all the sudden i started having twitching in my whole body ( it started with twitches in my ear if i can reacall correctly ) (I would say that right now my legs and ears are the ones most affected by the twitching ) . One more thing i want to add is that there is a lot of tingling as well and sometimes i feel like the twitching is only inside ( beneath the skin ).The mri came back clear and then i saw a second neurologist that told me that it is probably just anxiety because of my finals. I was calm for a while the headache just vanished after 2 weeks but the twitches are still here ) . 4 Months after i started getting the headaches again ( this time they were just mild not even close to what i felt before ) but they also came with tiredness ( i slept 10 hours a night ).Also something i forgot to mention is that when i get the headaches i feel like im confused ( i wouldnt call it dizzy something just mild ) . I had a lot of blood test and they all came back fine apart for some minor problems with my kidneys . Right now i am really worried this might be the start of ms . ( i want to add that i do not drink coffee , i do not exercise either but my muscles do not feel week in any way i can walk normally and there is no numbness anywhere in my body and i do not have any visual disturbances )

Hi Filip and welcome,

"one side headache ( left side ) .... i had and still have a weird buzzing in the ear + sudden loss of hearing....sudden i started having twitching in my whole body.....my legs and ears are the ones most affected by the twitching....there is a lot of tingling as well and sometimes i feel like the twitching is only inside ( beneath the skin )....headache just vanished after 2 weeks but the twitches are still here ) ."

All over anything is typically a red flag pointing away from a neurological condition like MS or any other serious neurological disease that i'm aware of, generally spreading, random, moving around, all over twitching etc are usually just benign muscle fascilations and are not a sign of something serious but when twitching (muscle fascilations) is the symptom of a serious disease it typically is isolated to specific area and also includes additional symptoms ie cramping, numbness, abnormal muscle weakness etc the most common cause of all over muscle twitching is actually anxiety.

"4 Months after i started getting the headaches again ...mild not even close to what i felt before ) but they also came with tiredness ( i slept 10 hours a night )......when i get the headaches i feel like im confused ( i wouldnt call it dizzy something just mild ) . Headache pain and mild-severe kidney infections can both cause you to feel tired, foggy brained and or light headed so these things are honestly more likely to be situational related and nothing more serious, if your also experiencing anxiety or stress that too will effect your sleep quality which in turn will make you feel tired and fogging during the day time.

"my muscles do not feel week in any way i can walk normally and there is no numbness anywhere in my body and i do not have any visual disturbances "

There is nothing that you have mentioned that would be suggestive or consistent with a neurological disease like MS, and if you do deal with anxiety over your health, one of the last things you should be doing is researching symptoms, looking up the symptoms of diseases your anxious about and giving voice to your anxiety by discussing your symptoms online.....all are common behaviours that are well known to feed health related anxiety and not help you!

I would strongly suggest you consider looking into understanding what commonly happens to people who have general anxiety and or health anxiety, and seek a confirmed diagnosis with a psychiatrist or psychologist which will give you various treatment options to try eg cognitive behavioural therapy, medication, learn coping skills, talk therapy etc etc and you can focus your attention on what you know to be true and better your tomorrows....

I hope that helps......JJ
