SS Disability denied me AGAIN!! UGH!

My Drs reported to them that I have MS, degenerative disc disease, kidney disease, Parkinsons disease (thats the 1st I knew about this one) & tremors. Their response was that none of these either singularly or in combination would kep me from working a normal 40 hr. week & my claim was denied again! UGH!!! I do have a lawyer & will appeal this but it makes me angry that I know several people (1 with fibromyalgis, 1 with the tip of his finger cut off, & i with a foot issue) all work every day for cash & got disability the 1st time! If I could do all of that I wouldn't even bother with the humiliation they put you through! Sorry I'm just venting but I just don't understand what its gonna take! I can't even walk over 300 ft & thats with a cane plus the meds all make me drowsy & not to mention the pain & fatigue! Thanks for listening as this is soooooo frustrating!

hang in there...and appeal this decision...keep appealing them.  and if you have a lawyer it will help alot... let your Dr know the decision.  My Dr helped alot when they declined me the first time... I got approved the second time.

I was denied until i got a good attorney. From the time i applied for SSD, until i received my "Fully Favorable" letter from social secuity disability. It took 2 years 4 months. SSD will make you wait! Hoping that you will give up, and try to go back to work. Even if it kills you, they don't care. Sorry i'm being so rude about this, it's because i've seen people that needed to be on SSD. SSD made them wait so long, that with a family the bills accumulated so much, it forced them to go back to work.

All i can say is good luck, and hang in there!

Bob :)

Good Luck to both of you & I totally know what you guys are going thru. I have been dealing with symptoms for the last 10 years, but did my best to work until January of this year. Just got all my DX's this last month and I'm fighting/appealing my denied SS claim and my long-term disability insurance too. I'm so lost, confused, and not sure where to turn at this point.
Again, GOOD LUCK to you guys! I'll be hoping for you 2 at the same time as me...
It's all so FRUSTRATING and I agree, UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Live, Laugh, & Love (& maybe it'll all be OK eventually) LOL,
Melanie

oh, and definitely call your doctor and find out about this parkinson label you have - if its true, you need to know that as well.

Tammy,
It stinks that this is dragging on for you.  Was this round without the assistance of the lawyer?

I read recently that it is now taking over 15 months to get SSDI approved - that is an embarassment for our country .  There are too many deserving people like you wading through the paperwork and red tape to get the help they need.

I'm sorry you're in those ranks.

I'm so sorry to hear that you were denied again! Some of these people making these decisions should live in our bodies for just ONE day and they would certainly approve everyone who suffers with MS and it's related pain and symptoms.

I'm still waiting on my company disability to make their decision after 5 months...so much for a decision in 90 days. Knowing how frustrated I am, I can only imagine what you are dealing with.

Sending big hugs,

Ren
