b12 deficiency or MS

About six months ago i was diagnosed with a b12 deficiency (level at 200). I've been getting shots every week for the past two months or so, and now i'm about to start getting them once every month. After i get a shot, i will feel worse than before i got the shot, and usually pass out for a few hours, and wake up still feeling like crap. The numbness in my feet has gotten worse/longer since i've started the shots (and none of my symptoms have cleared up). I read somewhere that MS and a b12 deficiency have a lot of the same symptoms and can be mistaken for the other. Is is a possibility that i could have MS on top of my b12 deficiency?

This is very interesting. My sister had a sever B12 defiency and when her levels finally came back to normal she was still having the same problems.

That is when they finally diagnosed her with MS.

So I guess it is possible to have the b12 defiency and MS at the same time. I know they mimic one another but her levels were completely normal before the diagnosed her with MS.

It was her optic neuritis that made them check for MS.

B12 defiency and MS do have a lot of the same symptoms. If you lack B12, you can not maintain a healthy nervous system. B12 defiency is literally a MS mimic. That's why it's included in the blood panels.

These are what considered normal and abnormal ranges:

Normal Results
Normal values are 200 - 900 pg/mL (picograms per milliliter).

Normal value ranges may vary slightly among different laboratories. Talk to your doctor about what your specific test results mean.

What Abnormal Results Mean
Values of less than 200 pg/mL are a sign of a vitamin B12 deficiency. People with this deficiency are likely to have or develop symptoms. Older adults with vitamin B12 levels between 200 and 500 pg/mL may also have symptoms.

B12 defiency can occur in MS, just like any other defiency or disease. I guess the problem would be, is what symptoms are caused from what. I guess after monitoring and getting you into normal range, and if you still have symptoms, then your doctor needs to look further. I hope you start to feel better☺ Here is some info on B12 & MS:
