It wasn't plantar fasciitis it was the pads and balls of my feet not my arches. Not sure what it was all about.
If it feels broken and hurts worse first thing in the morning or when you get up after resting. It might be plantar fascites and nerve condition which is really painful. I have also had friends who broke a foot and did not know it.

I take my gabapentin, I have had foot pain off and on but nothing like I experienced last night. It is rough when new things arise, but all we can do is deal with it and move on.
I have accepted my new life, one lady at work always says, "Paula, you deal with so much with your health and personal life but never complain". I thank her and tell her complaining will get me no where, it won't help so have to stay positive :)
My right foot was extremely painful to walk on for awhile, and to say it felt bruised is probably an apt description. It did eventually abate or...... maybe it's the level of Gabapentin I'm on but it's not a great problem now. My left foot has also caused me issues since June but that's more around the ankle itself. I'm nearly at the limit of Gabapentin so may have to look at something else soon. :-(
