eye doctor appointment/gp appointment

I saw the eye doctor and the gp today. My GP looked over the mri and said I have nothing to worry about. He reccomends that I repeat it in 3 months verses the nuero doing in in 1 month. Not sure if I should go to same place or go somewhere else? Eye doctor checked out the eyes says everything is fine. Got new eyeglasses. no signs of optic nueritis. Hope fully this is all good news. Still taking the lyrica and zoloft with good results. I will wait till i have the next mri of the cervical spine and see what the nuero says. Toni

Hi, I'm still concerned about the spinal lesion.  There are very few things that cause demyelinating-looking lesions in the spine.  You can't write it off to aging, migraine, microvascular stuff.  I'm glad your eyes look good , but 50% of ON do not show on exam.  If you haven't had an EVP, please insist on one.  It is not invasive and is appropriate given the concern over the spinal image.  It can be done while waiting for the repeat MRI, maybe on a T3 machine.  Interesting your neuro has a higher index of suspicion than the GP - this is good.

brain mri clear. cervical mri showed  a solitary area of hyperintense signal at the c-2 level on the right lateral aspect. could represent a small subtle area of demylination. the rest of cervical mri showed cervical spondylosis.not sure either.

If the MRI was clear, why a repeat in 3 months?
