This may be a stupid question to some...

Hi Everyone,
This may be a stupid question to some but I live by the motto that the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.  So let me begin...

Does anyone out there suffer from thorasic pain (mid back, across the shoulder blades), I have problems also with pain in the left shoulder blade.  I keep hearing from various people that all my pain is from the fibromylagia, and ms doesn't cause pain.  Please enlighten me here!

Thanks
Debbie

I have the same thing.  I am not diagnosed, but I am convinced it is related.

yes, i do, i.e. suffer from T-Sec pain, then to the right shoulder blade.

my right index finger and thumb have pins/needles/numbness. the pain in the shoulder area and part of my forearm are bad enough at times that the pain med i take for it only lasts about 2 hours. this started this summer.

now, i do have intermittently the bugs/crawling sensation in my T-sec from time to time. this isn't painful per se, but for me, drives me nuts. it is quite nerve racking when you are trying to relax and this happens. cannot stay still when this happens.

nerve pain real? it sure is to me, my .02 worth.

is any of this related to MS? for me probably yes for the crawling sensation. i have a really screwed up C-Sec also. so the right shoulder and right T-Sec could be from the disk/nerve issue and/or MS in my case.

i will say MS, because i'm too fruking sick and fruking tired of calling it "unspecified, demyelinating disease" according to my doctor. fruk them. there is only one thing left since they tell me they have tested for most of the mimic sheet. so whaat's left? dam those stupid docs to he-ll.

my shoulder/spine is killing me right now.

Oh boy, there are many here whose blood pressure will rise if they read another doctor saying that MS doesn't cause pain.  That was pretty much the thought back in the dark ages, but today's enlightened doctors know better.

There are many different pains associated with MS and you need to be treated by a doctor that understands that.

Now whether your thoracic pain is from your MS may be a different story - you need to discuss this with an MS neuro.

There are no stupid questions, but plenty of stupid doctors, it appears!

feel better,
Lulu
