hi ladies last year my legs went numb just below the knee and the bottom of my feet, this new thing i am feeling is mostly the outer or side of my right foot first the numbness now it is really tingling,i dont know i keep wondering how al these things keep happening. it seems like the last couple of weks i have been having an exacerbation now this new numbness and tingling in the outside of my foot. last year i had quite bad spasticity when the bottom of my legs became numb it was hard to walk my legs felt so tightened up.yes i dont agree with the benign m.s. i have beeen having a lot of problems overthe last year only had a remission for a month and a half. now this year i have not had any remission yet i just keep getting periods of worsening. i hope this makes sense,

I don't know if this helps but I had piercing pains in both feet off and on for a short period of time.  Now I can't feel my feet very well. I have forgotten how it is supposed to feel.

I have been told that nerve damage is the reason for my foot problem.  Perhaps yours is from spasticity

Ah, you know what we say about benign MS!  Doctors have shouting matches about the concept at conventions...

My personal take is that benign MS is something determined after death, when the medical examiner determines that the disease did not affect the patient's health.

So the pain is probably from spasticity, if it feels like sore muscles or a dull ache.  The numbness, if it's in a specific area like your foot, could be from damage to the spine.

Hard to say - have you been diagnosed, or are you still in limbo?

When I experience pain, it's almost always because of spasticity.
