off topic: speaking of music that makes you cry...

Tonight I was again looking at photos on line of my dearly departed pup, and I had music playing that was saved to my computer.  One of the simplest but saddest songs I know started playing, I Will Love You by Fisher.

Well.  I started sobbing and couldn't stop.  It was painful at the time but I guess it's good for me to get it out?  I want to stay in denial...I don't want to believe he's really gone, and if I avoid thinking about that awful night, I can avoid grasping the truth that he's not coming back.

OK I'm crying again.

If you want to listen to this beautiful, sad song, do so at your own risk:

I Will Love You by Fisher

Til my body is dust
til my soul is no more
I will love you, love you

Til the sun starts to cry
and the moon turns to rust
I will love you, love you

But I need to know
will you stay for all time
forever and a day
Then I'll give my heart
'til the end of all time
forever and a day

And I need to know
will you stay for all time
forever and a day
Then I'll give my heart
'til the end of all time
forever and a day

'Til the storms fill my eyes
and we touch the last time
I will love you, love you

I will love you, love you....
I will love you, love you, love you...

Hey, don't feel bad about emotions.  We give our pets a lot of love, and they return it tenfold.  When they're gone, we need to remember the reasons we enjoyed them in our lives.  I know I would be very sad to lose my little doggie.

Sweetie...I can feel your pain and it will be tough for a while yet...I still lose it occasionally when I think about Kassy.  I doubt that this song will be the only trigger that makes you emotional and I doubt that these triggers will ever all disappear but these  thoughts and memories are all part of the grieving process and as painful as it seems now...it will lessen over time.  This does not mean you are forgetting your beloved pet...it means you are coming to terms with your loss and Lar's will always be an important part of your lifes memories.

Again I would like to offer my condolences and I know you will know when it is time to move on and let the pain lessen...it will happen, just give it time.

Lots of gentle hugs,
Rena

Geez, I only had to read the lyrics and starting bawling. Don't think I can listen to the musical accompaniment.

I am sorry that  Lars's passing is still so raw . Only time will heal the gaping wound left by a precious loved one. Hang in there and just take one day at a time. Lars is so lucky to have been loved so mcuh!

Hugs,
Ren
