I am having constant headaches and pain in my neck and mid back.  Pain in worse in the morning. I feel like a mac truck ran over me. I am a 41 year old woman married with two kids. My mother had ms for 33 years. Went to dr. he put me on xanax for anxiety. I had chest X-ray cbcb and blood sugar all were normal. Had ekg showed some std's...not to concerned at the moment. I went this past tuesday for nerconduction study. that was ver intresting to say the least bit. Little unnerving. Lets just put it this way felt it all not a good feeling. Awaiting the test results. Should I be concerned about ms>>>>>so confused and unsure........please advise.......toni

I took you radvice. Called the docotr this morning. Results are still not in. They tell me to hand in there to mid week. I am patiently awaiting thier call.
Sorry I sound so nervous. I believe that you might be right. Might be all stress related. I guess I need to busy myself more often. Get out and smell the roses kinda thing. I will keep you posted on the ncv test results. Hopefully they will be fine. Last night I started to have a sudden twitch in my left thumb for about a minute. Then it disappeared. I have no muscle weekeness. I di dnot take my Xanax last evening and today I did not wake up with a headache. Hooray. Maybe this is a good sign. Also forgot to tell you that I had two hysterectomies and I have been placed on premarin 0.625. I took for a while and then decided I was nervous about the risk of breast cancer. The down side is there risk factor for not taking it is a heart attack and heart disease. Catch 22 here. Guess maybe I need to go back on that. I will definetly keep you up to date on my long term affairs that have me scared to death..........
Thanks for all your help..........Toni.....Have a blessed day.......

Hi, Toni,   I know you're worried.  I wish I could do more to help.  Did you see my response to your question about MS after you posted before?  From what you have told us, I don't think MS sounds at all likely.  It will be interesting to see if the nerve studies show anything.  Maybe you could put in a call to your Dr. in the morning to see if the results are in.

Your headaches and back/neck pain should be evaluated.  I suspect it's something structural and not a disease of the brain or spine.  That would not be a typical way for MS to show up.
