pulsatile tinnitus (sp)

is pulsatlile tinnitus when you can hear your heartbeat/pulse right in your ear?? and does that have anything to do with MS?

i know most of you have seen my other post...about the migrating tingles/crawlies and bodywide twitching that has been going on for a week or 2. any ideas?? does it sound like MS with all of those sympmos put together? (the ear thing, the tingles/crawlies and the twitches) don't forget im 29 weeks prego, but really don't want to be shunned off as "its' probably all from being pregnant." i get scared about MS/ALS or some other awful disease.

My first indication of high blood pressure was when I was pregnant.  Do you have high blood pressure?  I only notice this whooshing in my ear in time with my heartbeat when my blood pressure is high.

I remember when I was pregnant like it was yesterday, and my last pregnancy was about 20 years ago!  It was such an awesome time . . .

Take care, sweetie!

good morning, and I do apologize for sounding like a complete fool. lol. I guess the pregnancy hormones, my severe anxiety and being a hypochondriac allow me to get a little out of control. Not to mention Dr google makes all matters worse. I guess i just plug in my symptoms and all this horrible stuff comes up. I have made an appt. for weds. with my neuro. (i guess just to feel a little better).

Its just very hard to be pregnant and have MULTIPLE symptoms arise over a 2-3 week timespan and then have myslef believe "its nothing".  ALS and MS have been my fixations because of the symptoms im having and the internet turning it into those horrible diseases.

You are not being shunned off as "its' probably all from being pregnant." but are you shunning the possiblity that it IS from being pregnant? What is your doctors oppinion?

Here lies the problem as I see it, you have had many people respond to each of your questions regarding sx and no one that i can recall, has the opinion that they believe your sx are consistent with MS. It seems you 'need' someone to agree that your sx are consistent with MS or something equally grave, that may seem with out compasion but it is being said with concern and yes consideration of your feelings.

Please ask your self why are you persuing MS as the cause and no matter what you are being told you are not satisfied? Could it simply be that your anxiety is in control of you and generating fear? Each time you dont challenge these thoughts you are letting your anxiety gain more and more control, this is not healthy for you or your baby. I would tell anyone (even if they did have MS signs or a dx of MS) who was displaying anxiety levels that were seemingly high, to get some help with the anxiety, the rest can wait because it is not as important in the scheem of things.

So I'll tell you the same, go and see your doctor about what you are thinking and feeling both emotionally and physically, it doesn't need to be this way so dont let the anxiety take over and make everything seem worse. Get some help!

take care........JJ

PS You maybe angry at me for saying something you dont want to hear but i truely believe it is something you need to hear. If you were one of mine i'd still be saying it, but i'd do it with a hug!

From - About.com-multiple sclerosis - website:

Will My MS Symptoms Get Worse During Pregnancy?
No! Most women experience relief from most or even all of their MS symptoms during pregnancy. Also, pregnancy seems to have a protective effect, possibly because pregnancy itself reduces immune activity and levels of natural steroids are higher in pregnant women. The number of MS relapses are significantly decreased during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimester. However, pregnancy does come with its own symptoms and discomforts, which may aggravate preexisting problems with your bladder, bowels or back or lead to greater fatigue.
