rib tight pain.

hello, this is the start if me trying to find out whats wrong. i'm going back to my doc soon with leg tingles, and other bits and knee pain which is ongoing.i did at first think it was fibro.  
Today out of no were i got this tight pain on my right side under my breast and pain went round my back on my ribs.
I have had a inflamed chest bone in the past, i cant spell it cosh- something. But this pain today was strange and scary?
ive not been diagnosed with anything yet, so i'm just seeing what people  think of this pain? x thanks

what you described, we unaffectionately call the MS hug; for me it feels like I have put an old fashioned corset around my ribs and made it way too tight, and no one can loosen it.

mine last anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hrs.  It varies for each of us.  Be sure and tell your neuro about it.  I've only had 3-4 in the last 5 yrs, some people get them frequently, some do not.  I think my first lasted about 2 hrs.  I was working and the doc sent me to x-ray and came back saying it was costro condritis but I still have the x-ray and now that I know what to look for with costro, I know he was just guessing.

costocondritis is what you were looking for!  I probably got the spelling wrong, but you get the idea.  

sounds like an MS hug.......deep breaths (know they are hard), relaxation, I use heating pad on mine and/or lidoderm patches.......
