tysabri

I was on beta seron for months.. Now starting tysabri.. No I don't carry jc virus. Anyone have input on this? My lesions are in brain and cervical spine is a mess with lesions. Arms n hands are awful. Have had the hugs as well. And the almighty "zapper", the elect current that runs through torso and hits you in the pelvic area. This disease is quite difficult to keep up with. Here then there then another area...you never know what you're in for

Hi - Next month I will have Tysabri infusion #12. I have had no side effects from the drug. In fact, my infusions are a complete non-event.

I have not had any relapses since starting Tysabri. It's the only DMD I have ever taken.

I take Tysabri, am due for infusion #9 next week and I am JC+

Tysabri will help slow down future lesions, hopefully, but will not take away anything you already have.  It will also probably and I say that with tongue in cheek, will probably not make your "nuisance" symptoms go away (like l'Hermittes - the zapper) and such.  Hugs, things, no......you get stuck with those.......as far as I know.  Someone jump in and correct me if wrong.....it might subdue them some but.......

Tysabri affects everyone differently.  Some have no side effects, some do, I have had a rollercoaster ride with mine and this is the first month I have gone 3 weeks without any side effects.  You will have to work with your neuro if you have them.  Mine has been dilligent and hopefully has worked thru them.
Good luck and keep us posted.
