I'm so glad to hear you don't have to wait until January for some answers!! That would be terribly difficult. Good luck w the spine MRI. Don't make yourself crazy waiting for results (easier said than done!!). Keep in mind that none of this will change during that time. Esp if your Dx does end up MS. Maybe let your doc know that you are feeling really concerned and would like the results as soon as possible. At least he will know you are waiting by the phone.
:) you had me chuckle. on the foggy brain possibly linked to late night research. That could so be me!! I am glad that someone else came forward! lol
I have an appt. 1/9/2015 with a new neurologist. The first 1 told me to forget the lesions they were nothing after the LP came back negative.
My GP is having me go in for an mri of my spine this coming Monday. That was after I almost got him in his privates when he tested my leg reflexes. He barely got out of the way in time. The other leg he stood away from when he tested. lol
I am so grateful to have the GP I do. He was the 1 who first decided that alot of my symptoms weren't from my cervical issues. Then after the deal with the neuro he still wasn't satisfied. He wants to know what those lesions are and why I walk weird, my foggy brain (which he has experienced while examining me) and all the rest.
Yes I am sure after the MRI results on my spine he will talk to me about what is or isn't seen. I figure it will take at least a week before they read the mri and give those results to my GP.
Thank You cjtmn
Hang in there! I completely understand where you are coming from. I spend more waking hours trying to become an Internet doctor and solve my own mystery than I care to admit!! And I believe you have seen enough of my posting faux pas to know I am also dealing with uncoordinated fingers and foggy brain (very possibly linked to my late night research efforts! Haha!).
Hopefully you will have some firm answers soon. Seems to me your next appt is quite far away, though? Any chance of having your doc call you to discuss the MRI?
I re-typed because I didn't proof read before posting. Ugh I am getting really bad about not writing what I am actually wanting to say. Seems that part of me keeps getting worse. Thank you all for your patience with me.
Thank you cjtmn.
I am trying to figure out because my said in the "periventricular, subcortical and deep white matter and adjacent to the corpus callosum" and doesnt mention being in the "juxtacortical area" if maybe my lesions aren't ms.
Yes I am driving myself nuts trying to figure out what every little thing means.
Thank you for the link.
