? about fasciculation

How long do fasciculations generally last and do they stop when the muscle is contracted?  I can't tell if I had a resting tremor or fasciculation.  I had one or the other for about three days, and now I have severe cramping in most of my leg.  Magnesium tests were fine, no meds, and I'm not a big coffee person.  Any ideas on how to relax the cramps?

My twitches grow into full blown muscle spasms.  My twitches don't stop with muscle contraction they stop when they want to stop.  Could go on for 5 seconds, 5 mins. 5 hours or 5 days.  I have demylination problems as well.

Stress…anxiety….?  No different than any other time and no change in routine.   I guess I'm trying to figure out if a fasciculation is what I had.   Do you know if a fasciculation generally last for days and does it subside when the muscle is contracted?  I have demyelinization issues, which I try not to focus on, but take notes when something interferes with my routine.  I guess I'm surprised that a muscle twitch would cause my entire leg to seize up in a cramp.   Thanks for the help.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
hi kimpton,
As you said your magnesium levels are normal.
It's good that you did that testing. But fasciculations can also occur due to stress/anxiety/less relaxation etc.
So are you suffering from these things?
