Do you have any other symptoms like ringing in your ears, or a swooshing sound in your ears, of vision problems? If so these could be symptoms to a conditions called Intercrannial Hypertention (of PsuedoTumor Cerebri). You can look this up and see if your symptoms fit.
Other conditions it could be Migranes - they can be bizare too.
Good luck and stay healthy

You need to see a neurologist to rule out any growths pressing on nerves, but sounds like Occipital Neuralgia which I had and received a nerve block for. There are also medications  like Amitriptyline or other tricyclic antidepressants or anticonvulsants that can help with nerve pain. Most likely it's benign but you still need to check it out.

Hi, probably it is occipital neuralgia, though other possibility is tension headache. Occipital neuralgia is a chronic pain disorder caused by irritation or injury to the occipital nerve located in the back of the scalp. Individuals with the disorder experience pain originating at the nape of the neck. The pain, often described as throbbing and migraine-like, spreads up and around the forehead and scalp. Occipital neuralgia can result from physical stress, trauma, or repeated contraction of the muscles of the neck.

Treatment involves pain killers, drugs like gabapentin, amitryptline etc are also helpful
