Hello, i had my first craniotomy in 2003 for aneursym clip and second in 2005 for hardware removal (nerve thought to be associated with plates and screws). With the clipping in 2003 the dr accidently lacerated my left frontal lobe. Either in 2010 or 2011 i was diagnosed with mild encephalomalacia in that area. I now only have health care through va hospital. They refuse mri due to the clip (it was there it was put in). It was an outside dr that diagnosed the encephalomalacia. I have a moderate size indentation over temporal area of face. For the last two years i have been unable to wear glasses due to swelling in area. Feels like electricity over scar and surrounding area even without touching scar and that happens several times a day. Swelling comes and goes the same. Also for these two years i have realised i have pushed people away, my tolerance level for people in general in very low. I am missing chunks of times from my past, i can hardly remember high school or time i spent in army. I am unsure if all this is related or if anything i can do to help myself. If anything please advise. When pain is severe i can not concentrate. I have to pull over if occurs while driving and i have young children to take care of
