Adderall greatly reduced my tremors and brain zaps

Hello, all.

I written before about suffering from leg tremors/spasms while standing up and while going down the stairs.  I've also been suffering from extreme fatigue and brain zaps (especially while walking).

My doctor started me on Adderall, 20mg twice a day on Wednesday.  The first day, the Adderall made me a little more alert and even my symptoms were slightly reduced - although I did not put 2 and 2 together.  The next day, the prescribed dosage did not help with fatigue and my symptoms came roaring back.

Yesterday (Friday), in order to get some work done, I took 40mg in the morning and 40mg in the early afternoon.  Not only did my fatigue go away, by my tremors/spasms and brain zaps were nearly gone.  The only thing I experienced was some leg tremors near the bottom of the stairs - although, they were very light.  I walked for nearly three miles and did not experience one brain zap.

It appears that a very tired brain is causing the tremors, spasms and brain zaps.  Why would a tired brain cause the symptoms?  What is the signifcance of adderall stopping the symptoms?

Thanks very much.

Curt

Interesting...since being taken off Adderall I too went from being relatively normal with fatigue/weight/some cognitive issues to so sick that I'm now unable to function/work due to extreme fatigue, pressure in head/neck, extreme vertigo, electrical shocks in body, and so many other symtoms. I too wonder if there has been nerve damage or something. How can one get sicker after stopping these meds???

I started taking Adderall 1 yr prior to getting really ill. I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I wonder if Adderall doesn't cause permenant damage. I was a healthy energetic 30yo before I started taking adderall. I discontinued taking it and I did start back on it and it didn't help with my pain, but actually gave me severe headaches and mild seizures. I'm glad it's helping you though. At least you're getting relief from your symptoms someway.
