Any ideas?

Got back from my neuro yesterday and she said my newest (5th) NVC showed that my carpel tunnel is worse, which I will probably have surgery.  But she said my right and left peroneal nerve is compressed at the fibular head and I have sensory motor polyneuropathy.  She said this is the reason for the extreme pain in my legs and feet but offered no help other then increase the Lyrica.

Any ideas.  She has washed her hands of me.

Thanks

DD

Thank you.  Unfourtunately she is my 5th opinion!  My next option would be the Mayo clinic.  My insurance will only cover a portion of this. So not sure I can afford it.

She says it is PN is chronic but not extremely progressive.  Is this true?

Thank you

Hi,

I would suggest you to seek a second opinion. If you need surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome please get it done. Also for compression of the fibular nerve you may need surgery depending upon the severity of symptoms.
A second opinion will help in deciding the future course of action. Please remember to take all your reports with you.

Thanks
