Anyone else twitch from anxiety?

I twitch when I remember things that upset me, and also directly after certian encounters I feel like I can't forget what just happened because I keep twitching. I take Respirdone but it doesn't seem to be working...anyone else do this? I'd really like to know I'm not the only one.

Hello, Mandie!

Yes, twitches are a common reaction to stress and anxiety.  Many people get them - some only a few times and some have them forever.  I get an annoying eye twitch when I'm very stressed and it takes a few days/weeks to go away, even after I am calm.  If your twitches really cause you embarrasement, a re-visit to your doctor may be called for.

best of luck

I have had really bad anxiety for 5 years now. Just a few months ago I started to have dizzy spells and muscle twitches all over my body. I think it is possible for stress and nerves to cause twitches. I myself am trying to figure out if my spells are from anxiety or something else. Good luck.
