Arm moving by itself

When either drifting off to sleep or upon wakening (or maybe it's what wakes me), my left arm sometimes flails or moves about for a second or two, and then stops on its own. Any ideas on what could cause this?

If it is seizure related, would i be a candidate for meds if it only occurs at sleep. Infrequently, by arms and/or legs jump right as I'm dozing off, which wakes me. Appreciate any advice.

Have seen anyone regarding same. Get some tingling/burning in shoulders, worse in left. The moving arm thing has only happened during sleep/upon wakening. It's not every night though.  I don't get headaches or tinnitus.

I've been going through something similar. I also get these "myoclonic jerks" throughout my body, progressively worsening..the most recent involving my spine. Do you happen to get headaches when this happens or tinnitus? It's supposedly normal to have a jerk before falling asleep but I would check in with a professional if it's bothersome or worsening. I am currently seeing a Neurologist and recently had an MRI and EEG, if I find anything out I will certainly repost for you!

Sleep is when seizure activity usually presents, have  you been to a neuro? Any other symptoms? Does this ever happen during the day?
