Can you perform the babinski reflex test on yourself, I have and am getting no reflex which is good...I just want to know if there is an issue of performing it on yourself that would yeild a false negative.

I have had 4 babinski tests or plantar responses.  They are all negitive.  I have none, y foot and/or toes don't move.  I have looked all over this computer to find out why.  I know something is wrong.  I have numbness, pain tingling buzzing and burning pain in my feet and legs, anyone know why I have no babkinski reflex.  I tryed my own too, I only get a burning feeling in the other foot.  Weird huh.

I would venture a guess and say I think it would be a false reading...only in that after I had mine I too tried to administer it to myself and did not get the same results as my drs.

I believe it is the fact that u r concentrating on the actual test and the dr says to relax...so I do not think it is possible to relax completely when u r trying to physically administer.

IMO....I can b wrong tho.
