My 8 month old granddaughter has a sort of head tic- she shrugs her head and shoulders on her right side. She may do this 2 or 3 times a day.
She been doing this for about 2 months now, We are getting worried on why or what is causing this

Hi Firewife722

My 10 month old baby daughter has this same problem.

Are you any further forward with knowing what it is?

I have an appointment with a pediatrician in April to have this checked out.

Hope to hear

Hi,
Tics are spasmodic, involuntary, repetitive, stereotyped movements that are non-rhythmic, often exacerabated by stress, and may affect any muscle group.
Tics can be classified into three groups, one of which is transient tics of childhood.
I think your daughter might be having transient tics of childhood.
If you are concerned about it, you can consider seeing a pediatric neurologist for opinion.
Hope this helps.
Bye.
