Black Spots In Vision, Lumbar Puncture

Hi All,
For the last year I've been getting black spots in my vision. This usually occurs when standing up after lying down and almost always happens each day when i get out of bed. The black spots usually last for 10 seconds and sometimes I can see through the spots, and other times they completely blind my vision. I also have a lot of trouble with muscle cramps, and recently the muscle in my thumb has swollen up and sticks out prominently. Orthostatic hypotension has been ruled out. I've had tests such as an MRI and recently just had a lumbar puncture to rule out increased intra-cranial pressure (due to a slight swelling in my eye) . Does anyone know what this might be? Also i read that increased anxiety and tensing of the muscles can increase intracranial pressure. I know that when i get up out of bed I am tense, and the black spots happen more prominently when i'm anxious. However during the lumbar puncture due to light sedation, i wasn't anxious at all and really relaxed. So does anxiety and muscular stress affect the results of the lumbar puncture significantly, and if i had been more stressed and tense would this have led to a finding of high intra-cranial pressure. I think my pressure that was measured was 17mmHg, so would extra tension during the lumbar puncture, such as that, that occurs when i get up in the morning, significantly increase the pressure to 20mmHg which is considered as high ?
Thanks!
