Brain MRI results

Hello,

I need help understanding the following results, it will take a while until our next doctor visit.

-----

Diffuse brain atrophic changes at temporal, frontal and parietal lobes. Plus, dilated sub arachniod CSF spaces.
Confluent foci of flair signal hyperintensity demonstrated in supratentorial white matter at both periventricular and subcortical regions reaching the centrum semiovale mostly in keeping with chronic microangiopathic disease.
No shift of midline strucutre.
No definite restricted diffusion images.
Craniocervical junctuon appears within normal.
No gross abnormality could be seen in both CP angles and petrous part of temporal bones.
Conclusion:
A change of brain atrophy is highly suggestive of againg process.

This ks for a 55 y male. He is alcoholic and takes lots of medications to compensate for that. He has diabetes, depression and high blood pressure. He refuses further diagnosis regarding this MRI.

I am not a dr but MRI results dont appear to be very concerning...

It says "the change of brain atrophy is highly suggestive of aging process". Basically it's something that happens the older you get and nothing to worry about.

Microangiopathy disease is a disease of the capillaries (very small blood vessels), in which the capillary walls become so thick and weak that they bleed, leak protein, and slow the flow of blood.

I seem to have weak capillaries as well. Any time I get the slightest pressure example, every single time my blood pressure is taken I get get petechiae on my arm.
