CAT Scan and MS

Hello just a wuick question.  Would a CAT Scan show the white spots of MS or is this just picked up on MRI?

I WAS SENT FOR A CT SCAN AND WHITE SPOTS SHOWED UP AND I WAS SENT FOR AN MRI.THE DOC SAID IT LOOKS LIKE MS BUT NOT TO WORRY AS H SAID IT WAS DOWN TO MY MENTLE HEATH.I ASKED MY CPN AND SHE SAID ITS NOT POSE FOR AND SCAN TO SHOW UP MY MENTLE HEATH.IM SITTING 4 MONTH NOW NOT NOING IF I HAVE MS OR NOT :(

From what I've learned over the past two months of dealing with my undiagnosed symptoms, only an MRI can show the white spots (lesions).  Here's a great layman's link on MS and the tests:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_sclerosis  

There are other tests that need to be run too, probably a LP (lumbar puncture - don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds) and some neurological exams.
