Okay so I'm a 20 year old man with a brachial plexus injury but my shoulder function and range of movement is fine, which I think is uncommon with these type of injuries. I can extend my arms but only up to my elbow then the rest kind of just flops inwards, towards me. (Think of someone holding something towards their chest).
My physiotherapist said that my triceps in the left arm are very weak/atrophied. And this is why I can't extend below my elbow when it's raised. My biceps seem to be fine as I can do many bicep movements but yeah I can't reach up to a cabinet to take something down but I can push doors closed with this arm, those are both tricep movements, no?
I'm starting to take physio very seriously and do well, bodybuilder type excercises. Is it possible to rehabilitate the tricep muscle?
